Dancing With The Doctors is at it again this year with its magnificent event, hosted by Studio One RI at Twin River Casino, proceeds to benefit Izzy Foundation. TeamFusionRI Dance Pro Martin Rivera joins the cast again for this years spectacular showcase read all about it below
“Dancing with the Doctors” is a premier Rhode Island fundraising event that combines the fun and excitement of dancing to raise money for local, non-profit organizations. The event is produced by Studio One RI Dance Complex and pairs local doctors with professional dance instructors. Together, these partners practice for ten weeks to choreograph an electrifying ballroom dance routine. This year, the culmination of their work will be showcased on April 22, 2017, when they take to the stage and perform their routine in front of three judges and a lively crowd at the Dancing with the Doctor’s Gala! The combined scores of the judges and crowd will determine who gets to take home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy at the end of the night!

"El Bailarin" ("the dancer", as he is known to his peers in the dance scene) and choreographer Martin Rivera joined the cast of professional dancers on Dancing With the Doctors in 2016, where he delivered a perfect score with his Tango dance partner Dr. Denise Goodman, aswell as Taking home one of the mirror ball trophies with his other Dance partner Dr. Janaki Vakharia in their most memorable Samba performance.
Having accomplished various featured performances throughout New England, Martin has become one of the most sort after Instructors of Latin Ballroom, his impeccable performances showcase not only his immense talent and creativity, but an undeniable charisma to match. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Martin has developed upon his skills and talents as a dance pro and Instructor and has created various superb dance events in and around RI that inspires many to indulge in art of dance. Martin co-founded TeamFusionRI, one of Providences most respected and most popular social dance events for dancers of all levels that promotes diversity, radical acceptance and radical inclusion, where he also lends his expertise as the groups Creative Director and featured dance pro. You can find Martin at Studio One where he teaches and coaches many students to develop in their techniques in Dance.
Martin supports numerous events and charities including DWTDOCS which by far has been his favorite. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
