Go Latin Tuesdays with Salsalegre Dance Academy at Studio One
1 hour workshop session followed by 2 hours of Social dance (Practice) time.
Every Tuesday Nite we will focus on a dance style in the workshop (workshops will vary in sessions) aswell as the social dance practica which includes Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Rumba & Club-style blends.

Social Dancing "On the DanceFloor" 9pm-11pm
(note we have 2,300 square feet of pure dance floor space for all you dance socialites)

Originally, the dance was considered to be scandalous, but throughout the years, Bachata has developed into a very respectful and extremely popular dance recognized a......round the world.
Various styles have emerged, such as Modern Bachata (which usually focuses on patterns) and Dominican or Club-style Bachata (recognized by lots of fancy footwork). Alternative styles have been created by fusing bachata with other dances, The music, however, has stayed true to its origins, still passionately portraying love & Heartache.

On Monday Nights at Studio One, I offer a drop in class that is catered to beginners, the class covers Salsa and Bachata basics. its the perfect class to build upon your core basics, and the foundation steps to salsa dancing and Bachata. added to this class is a few tips on Styling techniques for both men and women. Monday night classes begin at 8:30pm-9:30pm, they are 1 hour in length and the pricing is $10 for the class.

The Cover on Tuesdays is $10 and includes both the class and the Social night of dancing.

Saturday Night BACHATANGO Club-Style 2 Hour workshop & Salsa Social with Salsalegre Dance Academy at Studio One
upon approach, There is an anecdote for the Bachata, this is an extremely sexy dance which is often done with two partners practically wrapped around each other: limbs entwined and cheeks touching. All of the songs are about heartache and longing: think tango with about 100 times more hip action. It's somehow intimate and sensual, mysteryous and so taboo but everyone is so fascinated with it.; and everyone knows this.
Bachatango (often classed as a sensual form of modern bachata) is a style of dance that fuses the four-step Dominican bachata with Argentine tango moves, including elaborated kicks, dips, turns and long pauses. The dance is characterized by sensual hip and body movements. Partners hold each other in a closed position where the female’s inside right thigh is in contact with the inside of the male's right thigh, while using the hand placements of typical Latin style dances.

Meet Your Salsalegre Dance Instructors Sydonee Harris & Martin Rivera
Salsalegre's Dance Academy's Dance Duo
Sydonee Harris & Martin Rivera have been teaching together for the past two years in Providence Rhode Island, as Salsalegre Dance Academy. They both bring their own personalized and unique style to dance. Specially when it comes to Salsa. As a dance duo, They have creatively executed various innovative dance workshops and classes both inside the dance studio and at local entertainment venues both in Providence and around New England. They blend a multitude of dance techniques and incorporate them in dance lessons that allow many people who take their sessions, to enhance their technique, style and charisma when it comes to Latin dancing.
Currently both specialize in Salsa, and teaching the weekly All-Levels Latin Classes on Tuesdays at SalsaCity in downtown Providence, and over at Studio One in Lincoln Rhode Island where they offer separate classes, private classes, group classes and Studio Socials monthly with workshops, to students looking for indepth salsa lessons. Sydonee has over twenty years of ballroom and latin dance experience. while Martin has 15 years of Latin Dance experience and Choreography Coaching.
Both Martin and Sydonee are very passionate about Dance and Latin Dances. They bring a unique balance on the dance floor as dancers and instructors. They are personable and charismatic and love the opportunity to share their love of Salsa with everyone.
